Dr. Aparicio received his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree with Summa Cum Laude from the University of Navarra in 1978. Thereafter, he completed postgraduate studies in Dentistry in 1983 at the University of Barcelona. At the beginning of this career, he became a Dental Laboratory Technician in 1983 at Ramon y Cajal School in Barcelona. A year later, Dr. Aparicio received a Diploma in Implant Dentistry In 1984 from the University of Gothenburg (with Prof P-I Brånemark as tutor), and he was awarded a Master of Materials Science at the University of Barcelona in 1990 before receiving his Diploma in Periodontics from the University of Gothenburg in 1995 (Profs. Jan Lindhe and Jose Javier Echeverría as tutors). He was awarded a Master's in Biomedical Research from the University of Barcelona in 2010, and in 2013, Dr. Aparicio became PhD in Medicine with Summa Cum Laude and International Mention. The thesis title was: "Zvgomatic implants: state of the art and criteria for success" and this was defended at the University of Barcelona (Profs. Tomas Albrektsson, Jan Lindhe, Xavier Gil, Jose M Suarez, and Mariano Monzo as Jury).
He is a fellow researcher with the Handicap Research Group in the Department or Biomaterials at the University or Gothenburg (Prof. Tomas Albrektsson as tutor) and became an International Teaching Scholar at Indiana University School of Dentistry. Indianapolis. USA. in 2021. He has written numerous articles for international journals. In 2012, he was the editor of the book "Zygomatic implants. The Anatomy-Guided Approach (ZAGA)". In 2023, he was the editor of the book " Advanced Zygomatic implants. The ZAGA Approach”. He has served as referee at European J. of Oral Implantology and J. of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine in England and became Academic at The Royal European Academy of Doctors in 2016. Dr. Aparicio is a past president 2003-2004 of the Osseointegration Foundation of the American Academy of Osseointegration. From 2003 to 2005, he served as a Board Member of the European Academy of Osseointegration. He was President of the European Association of Osseointegration Barcelona meeting, in Barcelona in 2007. He also founded and is the honorific President of the Spanish Society of Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Dr. Aparicio received the Fonseca Award from the Spanish Society of Periodontics three times and was awarded the Simo Virgili Prize by The Catalonian Society of Odonto-Stomatologv twice. In his latest endeavor. he founded the Zygoma ZAGA Centers Network in 2018 (www.zagacenters.com) with the goal of spreading the ZAGA philosophy globally. Currently, he is sharing his knowledge as a Zygomatic implants Senior Consultant at Hepler Bone Clinic in Barcelona, Spain.

Prof. Daniel Buser is one of the most experienced implant surgeons with 35 years of surgical experience. He is a pioneer of micro-rough implant surfaces, and of the Guided Bone Regeneration technique. He has been Professor and Chairman at the Department of Oral Surgery at the University of Bern in Switzerland (2000-2019).
He served as President of various academic associations including the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) in 1996/97, the Swiss Society of Oral Implantology (SSOI) in 1999-2002, and the ITI in 2009-2013.
He was also member of the Board of Directors of the Osteology Foundation (2004-2018). He received several scientific awards by professional organizations such as the ITI, the AO, the AAP and the AAOMS. His main research areas are in tissue regeneration around dental implants, surface technology and Guided Bone Regeneration.
He has published with his team more than 400 publications, case reports and book chapters. He is also Editor the GBR Book (1994 and 2009), the 3rd edition of which will be published in August 2021.

Prof. Piero Papi is currently enrolled as Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Sciences at “Sapienza” University of Rome, where he has completed his PhD in 2021 focusing on the relationship between systemic conditions and peri-implantitis. In 2020 he has received the National Scientific Habilitation to the position of tenured Associate Professor in dentistry in Italy. Visiting Scholar at the University Complutense of Madrid in 2016, at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute in 2019 and at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2022. From November 2022 he is also a Visiting Professor at the Clinic of General-, Special care-, and Geriatric Dentistry of the University of Zurich. Winner of the “Young Pro Award” for best researcher under 35 in the field of biomaterials in 2018. Winner of the ITI Research Large Grant and of several international and national research awards in the field of oral implantology, his research areas include mainly peri-implantitis and peri-implant hard and soft tissues augmentation procedures. Lecturer at the Postgraduate courses in Oral Implantology and Periodontology at “Sapienza”, He is the author of more than 70 publications in international scientific journals. Reviewer and Editorial Board member for several journals, he is the ITI Co-director of the ITI study club “Roma”, an active member of the Italian Society of Oral Surgery (SidCO) and an ordinary member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SidP). Dr Jennifer Chantler enjoys the balance of clinical practice and research. She completed her general dental education at the University of Western Australia and her Doctorate of Clinical Dentistry from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has worked in specialist private practice in Melbourne Australia before moving to Switzerland and completing a position as a Research Assistant at the Clinic of Reconstructive Dentistry in Zurich. She has returned back to Perth and started her own specialist private practice and continues her collaborations with the University of Zurich mainly focusing her research on digital work flows involving minimally invasive restorations and implant dentistry.

Dr. Stephen Chen
Stephen Chen is a specialist periodontist in private practice in Melbourne, Australia and is Clinical Associate Professor at the Melbourne Dental School at the University of Melbourne. He is immediate past-president of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He has also served as President of various academic associations, including the Australasian Osteointegration Society (AOS) and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists (ANZAP). His main research areas are in guided bone regeneration and post-extraction implant outcomes.

Prof. Ivan Darby
Ivan Darby is a Professor of Periodontics at Melbourne Dental School where he teaches across all degrees and CPD. Originally from Scotland, Ivan moved to Melbourne in 2001 and has worked at the Dental School ever since. He qualified BDS in 1991 and PhD 2000, both from the University of Glasgow as well as FRACDS(Perio) in 2006. In addition, Ivan works one a day week as a specialist in private practice. Currently he the President of the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists and immediate past chair of the ITI Australasian section. Ivan is also a member of the Board of Studies for the ITI and was appointed a senior Fellow of the ITI in October 2023. With over 100 publications, his research interests include bone regeneration around implants and socket grafting.

Dr. Anthony Dickinson
Anthony Dickinson completed his BDSc (Melbourne) in 1978 and his postgraduate training in Prosthodontics at Indiana University USA in 1985; thereafter joined the Faculty at the University of Connecticut in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. For the past thirty-seven years he has maintained a private specialist practice with a major emphasis on Implant, aesthetic and restorative prosthodontics. In addition, he is holds a Fellowship of the RACDS (1982) and is an Honorary Clinical Fellow at the University of Melbourne School of Dental Science.
Dr. Dickinson was appointed as a Senior Fellow of the International Team of Implantology (ITI) in 2021. He is a Past-Chairman of the Australasian Section and a registered ITI Speaker. He served eight years as a member of the Board of Directors of the ITI and as a member of the Section and Membership Committee and is presently a Senior Editor for the ITI Academy and a reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics. He also held a position on the Dental Practice Board of Victoria (and the former Dental Board of Victoria) for approximately thirteen years – the last six years as President. In June 2015 he was awarded the Order of Australia Medal (OAM) for his service to dentistry as a practitioner and as an educator in Prosthodontics and to professional associations.

Adam Hamilton BDSc, DCD, FRACDS is the Discipline lead in Prosthodontics at the University of Western Australia. He is the former director of the Division of Regenerative Sciences and Implant Dentistry at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine where he is still a lecturer for the advanced graduate implant dentistry program. He completed his general dental education at the University of Western Australia and has a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry in the specialty of Prosthodontics from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He was the recipient of an ITI scholarship through which he completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Florida’s Center for Implant Dentistry. His research focuses are on implant placement and loading protocols, the impact of digital technology in prosthodontics and implant dentistry, as well as digital workflows for implant rehabilitation of the edentulous patient. He maintains a clinical practice focusing on prosthodontic and surgical implant treatment.

Dr. Felix Sim
A/Prof. Felix Sim is an Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon with subspecialty interest in head and neck oncology and reconstruction. He is a Consultant surgeon at Royal Melbourne Hospital and Geelong University Hospital, Victoria. Felix obtained his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Sydney and medical degree at the University of Melbourne. He completed his specialist training in 2015, leading to the specialist qualification FRACDS(OMS).
Following completion of his residency, Felix completed a two-year fellowship in head & neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at the Head and Neck Institute in Portland, Oregon, USA. He is the one of the few fellowship trained Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Australia performing microvascular reconstruction of the jaws. He led a team of reconstructive surgeons at RMH to perform the first “Jaw in a Day” in Australia in 2019. Felix’s surgical expertise focuses on oral cavity tumours, jaw reconstruction, dental implantology and zygomatic implants. He has published widely and has co-authored book chapters in this field.
Felix’s research interest is currently focused refining the application of computer modelling and 3D printing in facial trauma and maxilla-mandibular reconstruction, quality of life analysis and study of patients who have undergone jaw resection with reconstruction.

Her research interests include preclinical and clinical research in immediate implant placement and also guided bone regeneration.

Dr Ben Sellick earned his initial qualification in laboratory medicine, engaging in the clinical aspects of human pathophysiology, microbiology and biochemistry. Seeking further challenges, Ben completed his undergraduate dental training with honours at The University of Sydney in 2008, subsequently returning to Adelaide to commence private practice. He completed a Prosthodontics residency at The University of Adelaide in 2014, gaining his specialist qualification with a doctoral thesis comparing and contrasting genuine and non-genuine implant components via micro-CT.
Ben has lectured throughout Australia and internationally. He is a member of various professional bodies, a Fellow of the ITI and is the immediate past-President for the South Australian branch of the Australian Prosthodontic Society. Currently, he is a member of the Leadership team for section Australasia, serving as Communications Officer.
Ben additionally serves as a Key Opinion Leader and product evaluator at industry level for a number of dental companies. Having mentored the clinical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, Ben now maintains two referral-based specialist prosthodontic practices in Adelaide and Hobart.
Ben has a particular interest in the digital aspects of prosthodontics and their applications to treatment planning, complex aesthetic rehabilitation and implant dentistry. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family and maintaining an acreage in the Adelaide Hills with cattle, and a vineyard that permits a hobby as both vigneron and viticulturist.

Since 2014, she has been in full-time specialist private practice in Balwyn, and is actively involved in continuing education activities. Her special interests are in periodontal microbiology, as well as reconstructive and regenerative periodontology.
She is a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and a member of the Australian New Zealand Academy of Periodontology (ANZAP), Australian Society of Periodontology (ASP), Australian Osseointegration Society (AOS) and the Australian Dental Association (ADA).
Since 2014, she has been in full-time specialist private practice in Balwyn, and is actively involved in continuing education activities. Her special interests are in periodontal microbiology, as well as reconstructive and regenerative periodontology.
